Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by the multiracial, mixed-ethnic family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and the Sri Lankan. Her father Elroy Fernandez hails from Sri Lanka. Padukone was the daughter of the badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and was raised in Bangalore. In her teens she competed at the national badminton tournaments and international levels. But, she resigned from the game to pursue a career as designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalorean roots and speaks Konkani as her primary language. Padukone, a village in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State in India, is where her family comes from. Prakash Padukone's father was an international champion in badminton who has retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
